Keppel sponsors Singapore International Water WeekKeppel Corporation is a Founding Sponsor of the Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) for two years.
The SIWW is a five-day international event which provides opportunities for government officials, industry leaders as well as water specialists and practitioners to gather and discuss policies, business solutions and water technologies.
Besides the Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize, a prestigious international award to recognise outstanding contributions in solving water issues, the SIWW also comprises the Water Leaders’ Summit, Water Convention and Water Expo.
The theme of the inaugural SIWW, to be held from 23 to 27 June 2008, is Sustainable Water Solutions for Cities. With growing globalisation and urbanisation, good urban leadership is critical. Governments, corporations and industries need to address the issues facing cities together through sustainable and effective implementation of water infrastructure, and continued research and innovation.
