Belgian honour

Dr Lee Boon Yang, Chairman of Keppel Corporation, has been conferred the title of Commander of the Order of the Crown by the Kingdom of Belgium in recognition of his contributions to economic cooperation and trade between Singapore and Belgium.

Safety tip

Demonstrating how safety can be enhanced through thoughtful innovations, a team of Keppelites from Keppel Infrastructure developed a simple solution to reduce the risk of tipper trucks lifting up when they discharge their loads of fly ash.

Capacity boost

The Senoko Waste-to-Energy (WTE) Plant, the only WTE plant in Singapore located outside the Tuas region, will undergo upgrading to allow it to take on a larger incineration load by 3Q 2016.

In dialogue

Having passed the one year mark since Keppel Infrastructure (KI) was formed following the reorganisation of Keppel Energy and Keppel Integrated Engineering on 2 May 2013, employees of KI engaged senior management in a robust dialogue at a townhall meeting at the Matrix Auditorium, Biopolis, on 4 August 2014.

 

Sustainable cities take centrestage

Singapore, renowned for its success as a highly urbanised city that has given priority to sustainable development way ahead of its time, hosted a confluence of three major conventions - the World Cities Summit, Singapore International Water Week and CleanEnviro Summit Singapore. Keppel, with its strong track record in contributing to sustainable development through its property and infrastructure divisions, was a key partner for all three events, in its capacity as a sponsor as well as a participant.
