ESWET - European Association representing manufacturers in the field of Waste-to-Energy Technology. The main purpose of ESWET is to foster the development and the dissemination of Waste-to-Energy technology. With this in mind, the Association will seek to promote the awareness of the positive implications of the technology concerned.

CEWEP - the Confederation of European Waste-to-Energy plants - represents about 340 Waste-to-Energy plants in 16 European countries (with one member from the USA), treating some 48 million tonnes of waste per year in an environmentally sound way.
These Waste-to-Energy plants treat municipal waste (household waste and waste similar to household waste), which cannot be reused or recycled by other means. They produce electricity and heat from it, which they deliver to citizens and to industry.
